Concerts & Cocktails with Sinfonietta Notturna
Sinfonietta Notturna is a chamber orchestra based in Los Angeles, led by its Artistic Director and Conductor, Peter Peyman Farzinpour, comprising a rotating lineup of professional musicians who gather to play music they love in intimate and elegant settings for an audience of music and arts aficionados. The events take place in various, beautiful, private locations, wherein the audience members enjoy sipping on cocktails while listening to captivating music that inspires them, as they in turn discover the backstory of what inspired the composers who brought the music to life. Each concert has a particular theme, and Maestro Farzinpour discusses the background of the music, composer(s), and historical settings with often unknown and quite amusing anecdotes regarding the composers and pieces, which the ensemble then performs in a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. The audience is encouraged to participate in the discussions (if they’re not too busy with their cocktails!) and the festivities continue after the performances with the musicians and audience mingling.
